The Institute for Applied Argumentation Research maintains a long standing policy of respecting the democratic self-determination of every citizen, company and organisation, which often goes beyond abidance by the law. The IFAAR is legally obliged to the privacy laws of Switzerland and the European and worldwide regulated privacy terms. As a matter of course there is no spy- and/or ad-ware, no spam and no computer viruses. We are involved in the public debate concerned with security and privacy in the Internet. All information concerning you and your business competition are kept strictly confidential by the IFAAR and its employees.
2. Ethical principles
The usage of IFAAR-analyses is accessible to all individuals and companies, except individuals, organisations and companies contrary to public order. The IFAAR reserves all rights to refuse analyses without explanation, if the background or usage of the website is either unclear or has intransparent motives.
3. Utilization
You should assume that all materials, designs, text and images (collectively, the "Materials") contained in the Site are either the copyrighted property of the IFAAR unless otherwise noted, or are the copyrighted property of third parties. The IFAAR maintains a long standing policy of not accepting or considering any creative ideas, suggestions or materials from the public ("Submissions"), and therefore, you should not make any Submissions to the IFAAR in any communications through this Site or otherwise. Nonetheless, if you do send us a Submission, despite our request not to do so, then such Submission shall immediately become the property of the IFAAR and the IFAAR shall exclusively now and hereinafter own all rights, title and interest therein. Furthermore, the Institute for Applied Argumentation Research shall be free to use any Submissions for any purpose whatsoever, including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing and marketing products. The IFAAR shall not be liable for such use or disclosure of such Submission or for any similarities in the Submission and any future IFAAR uses or activities.
7. Miscellaneous
The Trademarks displayed on the Site are registered and unregistered Trademarks of the Institute for Applied Argumentation Research. Nothing contained on the Site should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppels or otherwise, any license or right to use any Trademark displayed on the Site, or any license or right to use any other trademark owned by any other third party. In the event that you misuse any Trademark in violation of these Terms and Conditions, the IFAAR will aggressively enforce its intellectual property rights to the fullest extent of the law, including the seeking of criminal prosecution.
You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane material or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any law. All offers set forth on the Site are void where prohibited, and are subject to the posting of any official rules pertaining to such offers.
7.1 Underlying law
The Institute for Applied Argumentation Research maintains and operates this Site from its offices in Switzerland. These Terms and Conditions are governed and interpreted under the laws of Switzerland. If any portion of these Terms and Conditions is deemed unlawful, void or unenforceable, then that part shall be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
7.2 Alteration of terms and conditions
These terms and conditions are subject to without notice. The user should read the terms and conditions precedent to visiting this website, to acquaint with possible alterations.
7.3 Notice
These Terms and Conditions set forth the entire understanding and agreement between you and teh IFAAR with respect to the Site. You acknowledge that any other agreements between you and the IFAAR with respect to the Site are superseded and of no force or effect.
